The Global Game Jam is an annual event where game developers around the world host and organize game jams simultaneously. In Germany, a total of 18 GGJ events took place this year, one of which was hosted by Binary Impact at the TechnologieZentrum Koblenz. We were kindly supported by some sponsors.

Almost 40 participants* met from 03.02. to 05.02.23 in Koblenz to develop their game ideas around the given theme “Roots”.

With the official start of the game development time on Friday afternoon, the participants had 48 hours to work on their projects. For refreshment there were plenty of drinks, breakfast, warm buffet and enough snacks. Of course, sleeping places and rest areas in separate rooms were also available.

This resulted in 11 projects that were diverse in their genre and group formation. From RPGs and 3D-Egoshooters to Adventures and VR-Games, everything was there.

You can find a list of all (playable) projects on the following page: https://globalgamejam.org/2023/jam-sites/ggj-2023-koblenz-im-tzk/games

Binary Impact would like to thank all participants, helpers and of course our sponsors.

We are looking forward to the next round of the Global Game Jam at the end of January 2024.
